Paper heads inspired by Motankas (traditional Ukrainian dolls) for the performance "Maidan inferno".

The characters are Ukrainian citizens who take part in the Maidan revolution.

I wanted to work from a traditional symbol to highlight the cultural aspect of this revolution which is based on the reappropriation of the habits and customs that define independent Ukraine.

The choice of paper with a brittle aesthetic underlines the fragility of the revolutionaries.
